Baby Room
The baby room welcomes babies and young children from 6 weeks – 2 years.
From the second that we are born we start to learn through touch, taste, light and sound. At Morris Mouse we implement the birth-3 matters in the baby room, which is an effective practice for those responsible for the care and education of babies and young children.
This promotes the following outcomes:
- A strong child
- A skilful communicator
- A competent learner
- A healthy child
Nursery Rooms 2-5 years
Room one is where the children can move from section to section, such as:
- The home corner
- Dressing up area
- Sand and water play area
- Arts and crafts area
- Table top activities
- Carpeted floor area to read or chat
Room two is where the children go for quiet activities, this is where we learn our Welsh session we learn the days of the week, colours, weather, numbers and news time. A computer area where the children can create and print their own work, and the TV/book area where the children can relax on our large settee and watch their favourite programs or read a book.
Large Sports Hall
At Morriston we have the use of a large sports hall this is where the children have their movement to music sessions, play with bikes, hoops, ball games ect. We also use the hall for nursery events such as childrens parties, discos and and childrens entertainers...Mr bubbles visited the nursery last week (July 2009) It was great fun for the children.
